The world of Arthur tech !

Family ran buisness

Our Story

Arthur Tech was built on hard work, resilience, and a belief that with determination, anything is possible.

Our journey began in 2010, when my wife and I founded SJA Metals with very little more than a van, a strong work ethic, and a shared ambition to build something of our own. In the early days, we were collecting washing machines and domestic scrap, often working long hours to make ends meet — all while my wife Leonie was eight months pregnant with our first child.

From those humble beginnings, the business gradually evolved. We expanded into purchasing materials from plumbers, garages, and local trades, before moving into the more specialised field of catalytic converter recycling and refining, where we developed strong industry knowledge and long-term supplier relationships.

In 2022, recognising the growing demand and future potential of the sector, we made a strategic decision to transition fully into e-waste and IT asset recycling. This marked the birth of what is now Arthur Tech.

What started with a single van has since grown into a fully operational warehouse-based business, handling large-scale collections and processing of electronic waste for clients across the UK.

Looking back, we’ve built something we never believed was possible at the start. Arthur Tech stands today as a family-run business founded on trust, experience, and the belief that success is created through consistency, adaptability, and never being afraid to evolve.
